Yogjakarta- Year End

having a getaway with the rest of your family obviously different when you travelling and explore your holiday with your travelling buddies or friends. i didn't say it wasn't fun at all, but it wasn't so thrilling and excited for me. Going to Yogja for me, was like a family reunion. It is when every place you go, you eat, and all the itinerary is control by them. If you want to escape on your own, they will consider you as being disrespect to the family, because they will think that you don't want to spend time with them. And here i am, try to enjoy every stress moment of it.

First day, i flew to jogja by mandala. luckily it was on time. No delay, and right on schedule. I arrived in jogja noon time, and picked up by my uncle, who i barely even know. He is my mom's cousin which i haven't seen for a long time. He then kindly took me having soto daging pinggir jalan for lunch. I was surprised to find out that the soto actually taste really good. Combine with perkedel kentang, kerupuk, gorengan and es jeruk, it was nice welcome after all.

Then, after our delicious lunch, they took me straight to my hotel. It was nothing like luxurious hotel. It was actually my grand mother's house with a touch of Javanese interior long time ago and bought by her own step brother and turned into a small cheap hotel. So, here i am staying at this hotel room for the rest of the afternoon, waiting for my mom and dad to be arrived. My parents were taking a road way to get to jogja. 10 hours long who can stand it, well i cant!!. anyway my first day become incredibly bored, except the lunch.

Second day was beach day. Actually I've been to this beach before. It located in Wonosari and took a long way from yogja. There are few other beaches, which located near in one area. But since i bring my big family of my father, including kids, we only got to visit 2 beaches, pantai drini and baron. Pantai drini was very quiet and not so many people here. Although it wasn't a clean beach like i expected, but it wasn't bad at all. So, i decided to took some pictures, and enjoy the scenery of a big wave. Sorry, I'm not a fan of a wave beach, i prefer a beach with a clean soft sand and crystal blue water.

We then went to the next beach which was pantai baron. So many people, crowded and dirty. Nothing much i say about this beach, it just *engga banget*, i cannot enjoy it at all!
Third day in Yogja. - i am actually expecting my friends who are coming tonight. We will spend our new year eve together, while i still have to follow this praying tradition which held during the moment of changing year. At midnight we gather at this small restaurant named "kusuma" own by french guy who actually married his Javanese wife. they opened a private room for us, and served all their best foods. it wasn't that bad, the place was so homey.

next day, i supposed to return back to jakarta. but i decided to spend another day here, stay with my friends and visited borobudur. It has been a while since the last time i came here. But unfortunately shit happen, i drop and broke my camera in borobudur. DAMN!!!

On the following day, early in the morning , i finally took a long way road back home, together with my family.
